This half day course is designed for supervisors, managers, and operatives who use harness systems or work with temporary horizontal safety lines. Essential training for high-risk edge work environments.
Safety Fundamentals
Participants will gain a solid understanding of working at height regulations, employer and employee responsibilities, and the hierarchy of fall protection controls (avoidance, restraint, positioning, and fall arrest).
The course also covers key safety concepts such as fall forces, fall factors, suspension trauma, and the critical importance of rescue planning when working near leading edges.

Instruction on full body harnesses, fixed/adjustable lanyards, fall arrest blocks, and anchor systems.
Systems Management
Learn to correctly assemble and dismantle temporary horizontal safety lines and personal fall protection systems.
Inspection Mastery
Master pre-use inspections, fault identification, and understanding the certified lifespan of equipment.
Practical Evaluation
Hands-on tasks including inspecting equipment, fitting harnesses, completing inspection records, and installing horizontal lifelines under expert supervision.
Instructor-Led Practical Scenarios
Verified Competency
Assessment consists of a multiple-choice theory test and a practical evaluation to confirm competency in inspection and setup.
